I’m never sure how to write a review for a place like this. I’ll start by saying that the employees are really friendly and professional and the atmosphere is very nice inside. On our first trip, it took 40 minutes to get lunch but when…it arrived the chowder, sandwich and pizza were really good, top notch BUT on our second visit the food appeared pretty quickly, not very hot and definitely not tasty; kind of like burnt tomato soup with some pasta Maybe just a bad night for the chef or I shouldn’t order Italian in México Either way, the staff are greatMore

Some really good food and interesting pizzas. The clam chowder is really unique and excellent in flavor. The size of the salad was really disappointing. A pizza is enough for two, but the same priced salad isn’t enough for one person. Deceptive description. I would…recommend that they make their salads bigger. Sus ensaladas son pequeñas y me decepcionaron. La pizza es suficiente para dos personas pero la ensalada del mismo precio es pequeña.More

We discovered this place when we were driving around. We were pleasantly surprised by their delicious food. I loved my risotto and fish. Their stuffed chicken with tamarind sauce was AMAZING. Would definitely recommend it! The service was very nice too.

Thursday night is their Ladies Night, free red wine and sangria with a dinner purchase. A group of my friends and I having a standing date Thursday evenings as it’s close to home and they have a wide variety of menu items. After having gone…weekly for the last 4 months, we were informed upon arriving that the offer had changed, nothing mentioned the previous week, or posted online. The offer is limited to only a few dinner options (mostly the priciest, but some cheap pasta too…) and excluded my favourite, the thin-crust seafood pizza (which costs more than the pasta, just not as heavy). I ended up ordering a hamburger, it wasn’t good, more filler in the burger patty than actual meat. Fortunately, for us there is another Thursday night ladies night place in the area, because our location will be changing. I’ll miss our regular server, Erika and the outdoor patio, but these changes don’t work for us.More

Sad to say, but there is nothing impressive about this place, is hard to mess up a Margherita pizza but they did, including serving it cold with slabs of uncooked tomatoes on top.. the order of calamaris came small portioned and drenched in fried oil…bath… it’s terrible, but we give it a poor rating.. just because it was practically located.. To the management: please up your game. Go check out real original pizze recipes.More

What terrible attention to the public. I waited 10 minutes at the door while the waiters only saw us until I approached the manager and he told me that they only received with reservation, but no one came to tell me until I went to…ask. Que pésima atención al público. Espere 10 minutos en la puerta mientras los meseros solo nos veían hasta que me acerque al encargado y me dice que solo reciben con reservación, pero nadie se acercó a decírmelo hasta que fui a preguntar.More

Great experience at Basilio. Excellent service and really enjoyed the atmosphere and food. The molten Volcane desert was exquisite.

We frequent La Comer and saw this resaurant tucked under the store. Checked it out on a whim and were DELIGHTED with the food and service. Chef Uciel and Calos the manager are working hard to provide great food and service. We had the clam…chowder and the short ribs. I’ve never had better short ribs. They beat anything i’ve had from Paris and beyond. I highly recommend this for the quality of food and the amzaing dishes on the menu. I’m going to keep going back to test out the whole menu.More

I guess management doesn’t monitor this TripAdvisor page since they haven’t changed their address after moving. So my experience will fall on deaf ears. I ordered a cesar salad. Found three small black insects in the leaves. Normally I don’t freak out over this, and…I was waiting for an apology – instead got ‘kitchen says those are mustard seeds.’ Well, yes…the dressing has mustard seeds – they were a light brown color. The black ones I found had legs. So fearing that the lettuce may not have been properly cleaned, I skipped it. Sorry that the management couldn’t have apologized – I would have been more generous with my review!More

Four of us dined at the new location of Basilio. The service was fine, but we did wait longer than we should have for menus and drinks. Two of us ordered pizza, others had pasta and hamburger. The only recommendable item was the hamburger which…the diner said was not bad? The complimentary bread sticks were completely flavorless (not even salt). The crust of the pizzas was equally bland and not “pizza crust as we know it”. Toppings were OK. The pasta with red sauce tasted like it came out of a can or jar. We won’t be returning.More

Sadly we were disappointed. The service and food were not like what we experienced last year at their old location on Basilio Badio. Our food was poor, we had a long wait till they fixed our drink order, one of our party didn’t like their…drink, nothing was offered in place. my entree was served with everyone’s appetizer and there was an oops overcharge on our bill of 500 pesos. Sorry. Big miss.More

Pasta, pizza and much more at this Italian eatery with a Mexican flare. The have moved to a larger local and now have room to acomódate all the customers. Located on Fco. Villa right at LaComer with lots of parking. Good wine list and excellent…service at moderate prices. Penne Carbonara with shrimp, octopus carpaccio make your own pizza, bruschetta with smoked salmon and on it goes. Very busy on weekends. Lunch and dinner.More

We loved this place when it was on Badillo in the Romantic Zone. So much so that when we found that facility closed, we searched for a new location. The new place is larger, much more open, pleasant, and up to date. In the same…building as the Fluvial La Comer, but you won’t know it. And the great menu items are all back/still there. Our favorite has always been the smoked beef carpaccio. Served under a bowl with a smoldering piece of mesquite. Excellent bolognese as well. Had great pizzas before – bet they still do.More

Saul and I wanted to take our real estate agent and her partner out for dinner to thank her for looking after us. Finding us a great rental, taking us shopping on our arrival day, just making sure everything was good. It was her suggestion…that we go here . It’s awesome!! Saul had the stuffed chicken breast and I had the tuna tartar and a Caesar salad, both were delicious. The other couple shared a Pizza, which is why they wanted to dine here. It looked good so we decided to take one home to eat the next day. Chose the Italian OMG it was outstanding and this was the next day, I’m sorry I didn’t order it that night. Great food, great prices. Cash only. We will return to this local gem (and it is not a secret, fills up fast) Before we go home and it will be the first place we eat when we return next year.More
