Back again to try their Pozole. Only on Saturday do they serve Pozole, after 12 noon. One reader recommended the small portion. I agree after ordering the large. I had to take half back to the resort, could not finish it all, HUGE! Very good….My husband had the fajitas and thought they were excellent.More
We love coming here. They have a wide variety of wonderfully prepared food on the menu, large portions and cheap prices. Two of us eat here typically for about $9.50USD, and leave with full, satisfied bellies. The staff is not over-friendly to Gringos, but we…overlook that and continue to take advantage of this great value. No tables, you eat at the lunch counter, diner style.More
We have been to Puerto Vallarta many times and Found this amazing place on our Jan 2019 trip. The burgers are the best I have ever had! Everything is great, and cheap. I couldn’t wait to go back on our March 2019 trip, and take…our friends. They absolutely loved it too. They close at 4:30pm. We had all day to bum around on our last day (11:55pm flight)so we thought let’s go for one last burger, it was about 4pm. Service and food was great like always. After the burger we left and continued to bum around for at least 45 mins until I realized I forgot my purse with our passports, money, cellphone etc ????. My heart sinked, I ran back to the restaurant (thank goodness they were still there cleaning the restaurant) and as soon as he saw me he handed me my purse, and said nothing has been taken out. So thankful! Honest, hard working people! Can’t wait to go back, and will continue to recommend this placeMore
I found it online and it said cab drivers and locals eat here. I want local experience so we tried it. I was not disappointed and will go back. It’s like a New York Diner with big counter and very informal. Waiter was friendly and…helped me order. I had grande’ agua fresca drink yummy and their special of the day which you are directed in Spanish to ask for on the bottom of the menu on the wall. It says **Pregunta Por La Comida Del Dia!! which means something like “ask about the daily special” I had beef and potatoes. It was very good and very filling. It was fun eating there and watching all the goings on in the kitchen right there. Husband had fajitas and really liked them. We will go back. Many, many take out orders assembled while we were there. Busy place!More
This is just like a dinner, mostly locals there, if you want a taste of real Mexican home cuisine, just try this place. The red pozole is to die for, small bowl is enough, couldn’t finish the big one, fully garnished, this soup is really…mexican, they serve it at every party You won’t regret it, good service and the agua fresca are very good.More
I stopped in here for a quick lunch, the service was good and the food was very good as well. The prices are very reasonable also.
Stopped for Cerveza and Pulpo Tacos after the flea market. Streatside place outside the Westmost flea market. If this is the right place stop there and get the tacos. Tortillas made while we watched. Fresh and delicious.
There is no better place to have the most authentic bomb a&& Mexican breakfast close your eyes and pick anything in the menu you’ll love it. This place is family owned and the family is so cool, I’ve been to this place at least 24…times in the past 3 years and I’ve seen them straight up hook up homeless people with food, this place is the best.More
We have stopped here twice for lunch and will be going back. Not a lot of atmosphere but great food. They give prompt service with good prices.
Okay… it’s NOT dirty. You wont find this in any tour book, or on anyones list of places to be seen. This is a Mexican lunch place that serves straight up traditional Mexican food to Mexicans. It’s located right across the street from the Mercado…Municipal, and they make lunches for a lot of the vendors in the neighborhood who cant leave their shops. They also serve lots of taxi drivers and other locals. The menu is on the wall. I had carne tacos which had a spicy minced beef with some chorizo. Nuthin’ fancy, just good. My wife had albondigas that were on special that day. These were Mexican meatballs served in a tasty soup broth. Off the chain! The restaurant was recommended by two local shop keepers so we decided to take a chance and we’re glad we did. Check it out.More
