Great food at a great price! We’ve been here twice this week on the recommendation of our friend (a chef in PV). My husband had the chicken mexicanisimo twice and loved it. (It was perfectly cooked both times). Chicken with poblano pepper slices and cheese…and mushrooms. I had a stuffed poblano pepper. Beautiful meals and piping hot.More

New Restaurant we visited this year. This was the former location of Polo’s before they moved to Basilo Badillo street. It is one block heading away from the beach off Insurgentes. Very small, there are about 8-10 tables in the restaurant and they have a…bar which is on the other side of the corridor which serves as an entrance to a hotel ( I think it is call Lise?) This place hasn’t been discovered. When you order the chef cooks it so please allow time for this. We had the Veracruzana Fish (Dorado), Our guest had Chicken and the Portuguese Shrimp. Everything was excellent ! I was feeling a little under the weather so I ordered a broth soup with fresh vegetables. I cured me. So delicious. They have a special dessert but we were too full. They had a 2X1 Happy Hour. Roberto and Jasmine are the husband and wife team. Roberto is the son of Alfredo of No Way Jose. Here is the correct phone number 322 236 2695. The website number is incorrect. To summarize, small, intimate, not fancy but clean and everything was as fresh and delicious. We will return. Oh I forgot to add very reasonable in price.More

Our second visit , last year and this year No change . Fantastic food , Drinks, Roberto (owner) goes way beyond to make sure you understand your order. as well explaining the reasons why the dish is made that way. Even one of the waiters…will sing for you. What a Gem of a place. It is located just around the block from the Churo man. Food is Delicious but inexpensive so come hungry .More

We visited this little restaurant with another couple last week. The service and food was excellent, all at a reasonable price. They offer two for one drinks for most cocktails and beverages but not for wine. Wine, ordered by the glass is very expensive. All…in all a great experience and a great little restaurant, which we highly recommend and will visit again. We heard, though unsubstantiated, that the chef used to own and operate a street food stand. In any event he does a brilliant job in this kitchen .More

There are many great little restaurants in Old Town and this one was a delightful find. I had the best Chiles Rellenos dish I’ve ever had (loaded with shrimp) and my wife had a lovely Chicken Mole dish. The service was excellent and even though…no room left for any dessert, a sample dessert was supplied at the end of our meal to boot – also, very good! And this place is very budget friendly to boot. A walk into this area is so worthwhile for any foodie, and this is another great place to stop!More

We read about this restaurant and decided to take a stroll and try it. We were glad we did! I had peppers stuffed with shrimp and covered with tomato sauce and cheese,(I forgot the name of it), it was amazing! Not too spicy. My wife…had a huge chicken burrito. great drinks. The bill was very reasonable, and Roberto provided great service. Check it out!More

Mexicanisimo is owned by Roberto, a delightful young man starting his first restaurant and it is a hit. The bar is very welcoming and pretty and the margaritas are one of the best in PV. The dining room is airy and the food is delicious….The burritos, quesadias, shrimo, meat, and fish dishes are all terrific. The portions are huge and so reasonable. This is a great spot to stop for a drink, lunch or dinner. They have happy hour 12-6 daily. Stop by and enjoy a lovely experience. You will have fun talking to Roberto. He is so welcoming and friendly and proud of his restaurant. The desserts are local to Jalisco and very unique. So delicious and we never had these before.More
