The El Palmar is a nice place for a meal on site at the Westin Hotel. Being on site it is a little more pricey than some other places in the marina area. The food is good and the service is great. The options are…good also. The breakfast buffet is a little pricey by the options are great, Nice place for a good on site meal.More
Not much atmosphere inside. Only about half of the tables were seated. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They were very keen on great service and didn’t get frustrated with our several questions about the menu. There are a few traditional items on the…menu and a lot of healthy items so if you are looking to eat something light and healthy, this is the place for you. They have indoor and outdoor seating. The prices were very reasonableMore
Food is mediocre and the service is slow. The buffet that they have is not that great. I read about the great crepes but that was not an option. disappointed.
Wonderful and fresh breakfast food and Covid safe buffet at El palmar at the Westin Puerto Vallarta hotel. A special thank you to Marco, Roberto, Miguel, the ladies at the soup, fruit and eggs stations were friendly and went out of their way for us.
We ate breakfast at El Palmar on our last day in Puerto Vallarta as we were staying at the Westin and didn’t have time to go out before our airport pick up. The service and food were good, but more expensive than any other place…we had gone for breakfast. Unless you are a big eater, you can get a nice breakfast anywhere for much less than the price of the buffet here.More
I’m normally not a fan of in-house hotel restaurants, but they have their place, especially after a long day’s travel and you are too tired to go very far. The seafood place at the Westin was closed on Mondays, so we settled on El Palamar,…which also serves as the breakfast buffet in the mornings. We were pleasantly surprised. We had the salmon on couscous and Conchinita. Both were well seasoned, although the salmon was a bit overcooked. The Conchinita was very nice, slow-cooked pork in orange juice and annatto, served with sides of refried beans, pickled red onion, and guacamole. The onions had enough hot pepper to take your head off, but when added in the right amount to the pork on a corn tortilla, it was a nice addition. Service was very good, although the tourist season has not quite started yet, so it was pretty slow. We probably won’t eat here again, but wouldn’t stay way if there was another good reason to go.More
Large selection of continental, american and mexican foods for breakfast. Juices are served in mason jars, and there is service inside and outdoors. A local cat hangs out on the patio, begging for scraps. Charming place.
Breakfast lunch dinner is always delicious anything you desire they will try to make for you–the breakfast is so good fresh egg omlets made right in front of you coffee all kinds and fresh juices for the Healthy too–
This place did not disappoint. The chicken mole was exceptional. The part of 10 all agreed it was the best seafood and service.
The food was always fantastic! The breakfast buffet was delicious. Do not skip the mocahete! And believe it or not the pizza was great too.
Our first experience of Mexican food in Mexico. We have eaten at El Palmar and have tried a variety of dishes each time. The good: The attentive service every time we’ve been there. The only time when it was a miss was when we were…seated at a table with a plant on it and discovered ants crawling all over the table, but we were promptly re-seated at another table without a plant and ants. The tasty food: the best dishes were the seafood molcajete, the ceviche, the dorado, the margarita the corn spongecake; the octopus tempura, pizza, and the tart while good were not exceptional Best of all, none of the dishes gave us any issues the times we ate there.More
We had breakfast and luch here. The service was fast and the meals were delicious. We tried the buffet on one occasion and there is more than enough variety both American and Mexican. WOuld definitely return
A very good breakfast buffet with both an omelet station and a fresh quesadilla station featuring Mexican favorites. Plenty of variety. Be careful of the churros at the lady end of the quesadilla station. They’re highly addictive.
Went here for lunch and ordered risotto? It was s salty that neither of us were able to eat it. Since we were staying at the hotel we didn’t complain. We just paid the. I’ll and left.
We visit Puerto Vallarta often and as Lifetime Platinum members, we always choose to receive their buffet breakfast for our welcome gift. Unless it is raining, we sit outside and enjoy the peaceful grounds. The restaurant is bright and very clean. The service is excellent…and most of the waitstaff remember us when we return and always welcome us back. There is a cold salad/meat station, many hot dishes to choose from and an omelet station where you can also get eggs your way. They always make a couple of local hot dishes and every time they have been just delicious – when we get to the restaurant, I will look at the local hot dishes first! A wonderful relaxing place to start your day!More
