Hubby and I decided check out Fredy’s for dinner. It’s a open air, small place that services mostly seafood. We shared tuna tartar as an appie. It was super fresh and delish. I tried the Peruvian Seafood Fried Rice, hubby had Seafood Linguini. Both entrees…were full of flavor and a nice mix of seafood. My mojito nicely off set tye pleasant spice mix in my fried rice. This is a great, cash only place. Highly recommend!More

Went for a lunch, chose a crab taco, a grilled octopus special and a seafood fried rice for two of us to share. Every dish is very tasty. Especially the pulpo. Perfectly grilled, tender crispy and crunchy, with chorizo and potato and baby rockets, a…perfect match. Fried rice is delicious too, with many big prawns. Girls are all very attentive. A perfect spot for some good-valued seafood.More

One cannot visit Vallarata and not go to Freddy’s Mariscos. Every time I’m in town, I come here to eat here. Bring cash because Freddy does not take credit cards. We started our lunch with tostadas de ceviche and smoked Marlin. Then, we ordered sopa…de mariscos, chicharron de Huachinango and fileted de pescado al ajillo. For dessert, we had custard and a delicious gluten-free chocolate cake! Yes, there is such thing. My favorite dish for this visit was the Chicharron de Huachinango and the chocolate cake. Look forward to my next visit to Freddy’s Mariscos to continue sampling every dish in the menu.More

Our first time to Fredy Mariscos, which was recommended to us by a friend who lives nearby. The owner, Fredy, and his staff were warm, welcoming, and provided excellent and prompt service. Their drinks are reasonably priced and delicious. The fish was fresh, the vegetables…plentiful, fresh and crisp. The space is large and spacious. Our experience is worth 5 stars. If you want authentic Mexican food and ambience, go to Freddy’s.More

We have become somewhat regulars at Fredys. Fredy is always up front and personal with all his guests. He is always willing to offer up suggestions. they close at 7PM so great for early dinner. Everything is fresh and tasty. Not many Gringos yet but…every time we see more. Cabbies will think you want Fredys Tucan so make sure they know to head to Versailles not Fluvial.More

My wife and I, having only arrived in Puerto Vallarta four days ago, have eaten twice already at Fredy Mariscos and we will probably do so again before we go home. The seafood is so delicious and the service is very good. So far, I…have enjoyed the crab tacos, shrimp cocktail and the seafood linguini, all wonderful. My wife has had the shrimp tacos and the coconut shrimp. We loved it all, fresh of course as it practically arrives at the restaurant straight out of the sea. If you love seafood, you have to visit this restaurant. It gets busy late afternoons and closes early at 7pm.More

We were recommended this Seafood place By a nearby business in the upcoming area of Versailles in Puerto Vallarta. We arrived just as the restaurant was opening and were greeted by smiling and enthusiastic staff. The owner Fredy stopped by to say hello and chat…with us asked us where we were from and offered some recommendations. He recommended a shrimp tostada that wasn’t on the menu but he could specially make it for us. We ordered 2 of those one of the Marlin tostadas as well as 1 of the fish tostada’s. We would have ordered more and stayed longer but we had only a brief period of time to grab a snack and a quick drink.I have to say I highly recommend this place the staff were all all very professional friendly and offer great service. The tostadas were extremely fresh and delicious. This is just 2 minute walk off the main road leading to downtown Puerto Vallarta please stop by you won’t be disappointedMore

Went here for lunch on Wednesday Oct 6. 2021. It’s a tiny bit off the beaten path but so so worth it. Cute place, fairly open air. Nice bar where you can sit. Friendly gentleman seated me right away. I started with an agua Fresca…made with pineapple. Yum. Placed an order for a smoked marlin tostada (28 pesos) and a seafood soup. The tostada came out fast and was delicious. All kinds of fixings also came out. Next came my seafood soup which was heaped with seafood and crab leg. The broth was Devine, the seafood fresh. Finished lunch with a flan and that was just right. Service and vibe spot on. Definitely going back. Quite reasonable check. Be aware, I have passed this place on a Saturday afternoon and it’s packed with, a lineup. Very popular with locals.More

Delicious seafood in Versalles! We haven’t discovered this place until a week ago and now is one of our favorite seafood places in the neighborhood. The staff is super attentive. Not expensive at all. Portions are generous. It gets packed in peak hours ! But…the place is big enough.More

My husband and I wanted seafood one night , the hotel suggested a place close to us but when we got there it closed at 6 o’clock so we walked a little further and found Fredy. The place was really cute so we went in…. Its open air with only fans which was fine since it was March and not too hot in the evening. Well as it turned he was just about to close but he said no problem because they would be there for a while longer cleaning up. I had Mahi-Mahi with a Pesto sauce which was done to perfection . My husband had red snapper which he enjoyed very much .We suggested Fredy to someone and they said they were trying to find him because he relocated. They were really happy that we had the new address so they went and found out that they were closed on Tuesdays . Also some of these smaller restaurants do not take credit cards .More

We enjoyed prompt and attentive service, gratis pico de gallo, and delicious whole fried red snapper (enough for two to share). The restaurant is airy, bar and kitchen open, with sparkling clean restrooms. We enjoyed the great food and excellent service at a very reasonable…price. We will be backMore
