We came to La Famosa mainly for the music of Los Bambinos but 4 of us very much enjoyed our meals of a 3 course food selection. The music was excellent as expected – there is a small cover charge for dinner/show. Of 4 entrees…only one was ok – the rest were great! We all enjoyed a beet soup to start and desserts were polished clean. This was in March 2017, – sorry for the late review. The restaurant is on a busy street but it calms down in the evening. Music by Los Bambinos (and a short set from Aguacate another of our favourite local bands) was so excellent! – some people were dancing. A very memorable evening – the four of us are planning to repeat on our next visit to PV in February 2018 !More

Attended the Los Bambinos musical show one evening and arrived early to have dinner. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. The Shrimp Ceviche was divine as well as the special chicken dish of the evening. Was so good that we went back…on another evening for dinner with friends.More

We went here twice during our 2 week stay in PV. The main attraction are the singing brothers “Los Bambinos”. They are fantastic. Make reservations. Food is just average but the entertainment is hard to beat.

I arrived as a solo tourist in Puerto Vallarta on Wednesday March 29th. I was wandering the streets looking for somewhere to have a nice meal when I was approached by a young man (Pedro). He proclaimed they were the best in Puerto Vallarta. I…was a little sceptical as in Mexico everyone is the best. I was shocked when the octopus I ordered showed up. It was one of the best pieces of sea food I had ever had the pleasure of enjoying. The place is lively and full of Mexican spirit. They even had an acoustic band playing beautiful Spanish music. The staff are true professionals. I returned today April 4th. I was seated and informed of the set menus for the night. The Waiter ( Roberto) informed me of the set menu but said if I wanted something other they would satisfy my requests. I was happy with the menus the chef had prepared. Again I was not the least bit disappointed. The salad was delicious, the main course was superb! The fish so delicate and moist the veggies perfectly seasoned and prepared to perfection as was the sauce. I ordered a Margarita from Eli was so magnificent. I think I will have another. Do your taste buds a favour, if you’re ever in P.V. Check out this awesome place. Get here early it gets busy!More

This is my favorite band in PV. We went to celebrate our anniversary and my husband’s birthday with 17 friends. They went our of their way to accommodate our group. For such a large group, we had very good service. The food was good. But,…the best part is the show. The brothers are so genuine and talented. They play a variety of 60s and 70s music mixed in with traditional Mexican fare (played better than anywhere else in PV). Right now, Los Bambinos have shows on Tuesday and Friday. We have been to both shows. There is a cover charge but no food or drink minimum. The dinner menu is fixed price (ususally about 350 pesos) for an appetizer, entrée and dessert.More

I have attended four or five of the shows in their new restaurant/bar. The food has been very good, drinks plentiful, the music tons of fun. It just gets better every time. The decor and atmosphere of this new addition to the neighborhood are so…welcoming it is like being invited to the home of great friends.More

Although a limited menu, and service always not the fastest..The food they do serve(*seafood and great wings) is very good. The best part of the night though is the music of “Los Bambinos.” Four fleshly brothers who combine music-nostalgia with a great blending of vocal harmonies…that really does a person good. Their music and singing never seem to lack. For being younger men, they are able to reach back to the early 60″s and come right on through to the 90’s for great sounds. Their intrepretation of the Beatles is superb, and even disco. Spanish Music of course is stupendous. Plus these guys are humble which adds to their likeability. Whenever in PV,wherever you stay,a trip to their restuarant is worth it!More

Some of the best guacamole in town. Great atmosphere. Los Bambinos we’re playing and they are clearly a crowd favorite, especially for an older expat crowd. Friendly staff, modern place, would definitely go back.

Los Bambinos not only put on a great show, they own the restaurant. The Boys moved to thus location two months ago, and tonight they filled the seats. They are enthusiastic, energetic and hopeful their success will continue. So do we. The limited menu is…a bit of a disappointment, but not enough to spoil a delightful evening. One sings Rudy Valle superbly. They cover The Beatles, Monkees, Earrh Wind & Fire and finish with La Bamba. It’s a wonderful change from the stage and cabaret shows traditional to PV.More

Los Bambino’s are a premier band in Puerto Vallarta and they have been entertaining visitors and residents for years. We have seen them in various venues over the years and they have finally settled into their new place Mariscos La Famosa. The restaurant is opened…aired and fills up quickly. Make early reservations to see the show. The menu is extensive and we arrived during their special Valentine menu event. The meals were enjoyed by all in our party although service was rather slow in delivering the meals. I received mine after most of our party were finishing. An on the house glass of wine was offered as compensation. The show was excellent, people dancing in the street, they just need to tweak a few things and this will be a premier venue in PV.More

We went to la Famosa last night for dinner and stayed for the show ( cover charge for the show) there was a special Valentine week special “prix fixe” for a 3 course meal with a beverage included for a reasonable price. 2 of our…party had the special and 2 picked from the menu. Everyone was very happy with their meals. The seafood chowder was excellent as was the bruschetta for starters. The futtti de mari spaghetti was full of seafood and delicious. The stuffed chicken breast was very flavourful as was the sauce, rice and steamed veggies. The dessert was either cheesecake or flan drizzled with a jamaica sauce also very good. Other friends had coconut shrimp and red snapper. The venue for the restaurant and show venue is a bit street noisy as it is on a main bus route. That being said It is set up well so that everyone can see Los Bambinos or Acoustica ( another Latin band that plays there on Wednesdays) while they are on stage. Congratulations to this 4 brother band and their family for setting up this great new venue for food and music. Check out their website losbambinosmusic.com The “boys” are so appreciative and welcoming. They make you feel important. there are so many things to do in PV but this place will definitely be on my list. Being so ne, It is having a some new business start up glitches but it will get get those straightened out I am sure. Great night out!More

From what I know, this is a new restaurant started up by this local singing group” Los Bambinos”. They are a great family musical group but they need to harmonize the drink service so that it is in tune ! Our group was singing “Can…you Please bring us our drinks” ! LOL The Friday night acoustic show by Los Bambinos was excellent even though they charged 200 pesos per person. Okay $10 U.S. but it was worth it , I think they should use that money to pay for another bartender or drop the show charge and make it a 2 drink minimum so YOU know you are going to speedy beverage service at your table. The Food was very good but there were some comments in our group that the fresh fish entree was a little too salty. I had the ribs-they were excellent. Another in my party had the chicken and ribs-excellent. The pricing for food and drinks were reasonable. PLEASE NOTE: Los Bambinos offer two shows a week. The nights can change so beware, For instance, the brochure says Tuesday and Thursday BUT the Thursday Show is now on Fridays. Los Bambinos show was lively, Latin in the first half and a lot of Rock n Rock in the Second. They really can do both very well. The harmony reminds of the Beach Boys and when they do some Beatles songs they are pretty good. I think this could be fun show for all ages. Their harmony and instrument playing is excellent and the show is lively. The only reason I didn’t give this an excellent rating is that the bar service was SLOW and unorganized. After all, this is a restaurant. Maybe it was because there was a show crowd there but we got their early and I wonder why the drink service was so slow. Like the person above say…Chaos. The food came out quickly and well presented but several of us had to wait for drinks a little too long through out the night. I hope they can get more efficient in serving drinks. Please note that I visited this place to see the “Los Bambinos” Show I did not visit on an off show night.More

We were invited by a friend. 17 of us descended on them at once. its not a very big place, and it was packed by 8 pm. Service is/was slow. But, I know from experience, that a new place is always chaos ! They did…the best they could. We shared the shrimp tostados and the chicken burrito. ( don’t like to over eat ) . And we had beer, and mango marguerita’s. the charge for the show is $ 300p each. and our food and liquor bill came to about 300p. The Bambino’s have a facebook page, if you want to check them out further – I wish I knew how to add a pic to this page, must learn ! The show lasted from 8 pm to 10 pm, with one short intermission. Really enjoyed our evening here and highly recommend it to anyone who loves great music.More
